EchoPlus: Next Steps in Echocardiography
Course Overview: For delegates who have attended an “Echo -what?” Part 1 course or are confident in the standard right parasternal echocardiography views, this course delivers a case-based, practical day to continue building your confidence and skills.
The day focusses on continued practical learning including further optimisation and appraisal of your right sided views, the use of both colour and spectral Doppler, and how to achieve and interpret the left sided echocardiographic views.
Topics Covered: For delegates who have attended an “Echo-What?” Part 1 course or are confident in the standard right parasternal echocardiography views. This course delivers a case based, practical day to continue building your confidence and skills in echocardiography.
- Further optimise your right-sided practical echocardiography
- Understand the principles of Doppler, and how and when to use it
- Learn to perform left-sided echo views and which cases these can be utilised in
- Case discussion: what have you seen recently? Use the ‘hive mind’ to discuss recent cases and cardiac decision making
For case discussion please bring with you:
- Clinical history of the patient
- Images or cineloops – saved to a USB or your mobile device
