Join us in supporting Len’s Light Tractor Relay!<\/p>\n\n\n

We would like to\u00a0 share an incredible initiative that holds a special place in our hearts at IMV imaging. Our long standing customers, Lynda and Andy Eadon, have embarked on a remarkable journey to raise awareness and support for mental health in rural communities.<\/p>\n

\"Lens<\/span><\/p>\n

Lynda and Andy Eadon experienced an unimaginable tragedy. When they lost their beloved son Len to suicide at the age of 22.\u00a0In response to this devastating loss, they have created \u201cLen\u2019s Light,\u201d a vision to launch a national awareness campaign on mental health issues that affect people in rural areas. By sharing their personal story, they aim to break down the stigma attached to suicide and encourage open conversations about mental health.<\/p>\n

From 20th June to 20th July 2023, Andy will embark on a momentous journey, driving a tractor over 2000 miles from John O\u2019Groats to Lands\u2019 End, traversing Scotland, England, and Wales. Along this epic route, the tractor will visit numerous livestock markets, providing an opportunity for Lynda and Andy to connect with as many individuals as possible and address issues of concern. They aim to convey a powerful message: \u201cNo one in the rural community should feel isolated or alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

During this relay, alphabetic letters will be collected, eventually spelling out a significant message upon arrival at Lands\u2019 End. This symbolic gesture aims to resonate with rural communities nationwide and reinforce the importance of unity and support.<\/p>\n

Len\u2019s Light extends beyond the countryside, as the tractor will also visit Westminster to support a campaign advocating for mental health awareness in the curricula of colleges and universities. Lynda and Andy emphasise the significance of seeking help, support, and guidance in one\u2019s journey, as they experienced firsthand the tremendous support from the farming community during their time of need. Len\u2019s Light serves as a tribute and legacy for their beloved son Len, who touched the hearts of many during his short life.<\/p>\n

We invite you to support Len\u2019s Light by visiting the website here <\/a>where you can learn more about their journey and make a donation. The funds raised will go towards three registered charities: the Farming Community Network, the Farm Safety Foundation (Yellow Wellies), and Papyrus.<\/p>\n

Since Len\u2019s passing in January 2022, over \u00a3100,000 has been raised in his name for these charities. Furthermore, Lynda and Andy have launched the \u201c5 a Day\u201d campaign, distributing over 18,000 wallet-sized cards to young farmers and others in the rural community, providing essential information and emergency contact details to promote safety.<\/p>\n

Suicide remains the leading cause of death in the under 35s, making initiatives like Len\u2019s Light even more critical in addressing mental health challenges and providing support to those in need.<\/p>\n
