Job purpose/Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Customer Service – service for customers including:
- Communicating effectively with the customer
- Trouble shooting problems over the phone
- Giving out costs estimates
Support engineers in all aspects of service calls, including completion of necessary paperwork and update of business processes to support
- Update SAP processes
- Order processing
- Managing demonstration/loan equipment
- Ensuring all equipment is delivered in a complete and timely manner
Stock Management
- Insure all items used are updated in SAP
- Make sure all stock items are in working condition
- Inventory transfers
- Follow up with getting loan equipment returned
Shipping equipment to and from customers
- Domestic and international
- Minimize shipping costs
- UPS shipping records
Education/ experience
- Understanding of basic electronics
- Demonstrate the ability to use a volt meter, power supply, and soldering iron
Competencies/ key characteristics
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to use tact, skill and diplomacy as and when required
- Detail oriented with logical and analytical approach, and good problem solving skills for quick solutions
- Ability to analyse data and procedures to suggest and recommend improvements
- Displays high degree of honesty and integrity
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work under pressure without sacrificing attention to detail and ensure deadlines are met
