It\u2019s not every day you get a phone call to the office asking for help to X-ray and ultrasound for a T. Rex autopsy. This call came from Luke Gamble from WVS, who was working on a TV programme for the National Geographic channel, which aired worldwide on Sunday 7th June, to a global audience of over 40 million.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
BCF Marketing Manager, Jason Rogers commented:<\/p>\n
“Of course we were delighted to help and sent Kat Evans our in-house Radiographer off to Pinewood studios for two full days to help.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kat Evans, BCF Radiographer added: <\/p>\n
“When we got the call to help on T Rex Autopsy, I was quite excited, as I love the chance to do some thing different, and this most definitely came under the heading of different!<\/p>\n
When I arrived at Pinewood Studios and first saw the T-Rex I was amazed, it really did look like I had imagined, and was so large and impressive! The Slate 5 Equine DR is designed to be highly portable and suited for use in all environments and was ideal for using on this occasion! Obviously we didn’t actually fire any X-rays, but if this had been a real T-Rex the system would have been ideal, as we have used it for Rhinoceros and Elephant radiography.I must admit being involved with T Rex autopsy has been one of the highlights of my time at BCF, and I am waiting to see what comes next to trump this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luke Gamble from Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) also added his thoughts: <\/p>\n
“When we found out the team needed X-ray and ultrasound equipment BCF were the first people we called. BCF have also helped us with our Mission Rabies project. We knew these folks would help. Kat was a great help and it was fantastic that she also appeared in the programme. The X-ray DR equipment was truely amazing. It is incredible just how DR X-ray has advanced in the past through years. Thanks Kat and BCF for all your help. Next time we have a similar adventure, we will definately call BCF.\u201d<\/p>\n
