Course Overview: Aimed at veterinary surgeons regardless of experience, this course aims to give you all you need to know to performing ultrasound examinations of the abdominal cavity and optimising your images using the equipment you have available in practice.

Through a combination of text, videos, animations and interactive content, we will cover a logical and methodical approach to ultrasonography which will enable you to identify and fully evaluate all the major abdominal organs.

• • Machine controls and image optimisation

• • How best to prepare patients for ultrasound

• • Common artefacts encountered during ultrasound examinations

• • The interpretation and reporting of changes seen on ultrasound examination

• • Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) examinations of the abdomen and thorax, including how to incorporate these techniques into the triage and tracking of patients
